Happy New Year Sucka.

I hope the holidays have been good for the world. The economy is not where we'd like it to be and people are feeling that pain, but just as an affirmative thought is a thousand times more powerful than a negative thought, I hope that you have surrounded yourself with some good bros/fam/peeps this season. I've been fortunate to say that I have. Great friends. Good people with good hearts. And money!!! Jus kiddin...

This is my news years pic of Lryic.(Even though its old) Just a reminder to "Keep Thinking" in '09--------------------===== I personally am very optimistic for '09; with a new presidency I believe we as a people, a country and a world will come together more. Besides the gas and eco bullshit Im stoked for someone to crack down on dirty coal fuels and lying lobbiests. For the new year Im reminding myself that there are no rules in this life.. its hard to grasp. I can really can go anywhere are try anything. Wish me luck. Boo-ya

Stay classy Palin!

Although I am sick of hearing about Palin, I enjoyed this one-
"In this image rendered from video and provided by KARE-TV Minneapolis, Alaska Gov. Gov. Sarah Palin speaks during an interview, Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, at Triple D Farm & Hatchery outside Wasilla, Alaska. As Palin answered questions cameras from the Anchorage Daily News and others showed the bloody work of an employee, right, slaughtering birds behind the former Republican vice presidential candidate." I remember Halloween

--Fall is my favorite time of year, absolutely. ....Next to summer. ..And maybe spring.
- I've always loved the change of colors, the crisp, perfect hoodie weather, and of course Halloween. The one holiday that is souly focused on having a good time. And candy. Hella. Some of my best childhood memories are of Halloween.... dressing up like Freddy Kruger in the third grade.. egging the Knollands up the street.. say word son..
-So last week my uncle, my cousin Ethan, and myself drove a little ways inland to this big pumpkin patch in Hollister.

The morning was crisp and cool, nice and foggy, a great october morning. It was rad, hundreds of fresh-still on the vine white, red, orange and grey ones. Huge spiders also. oh yeah!

Eman had a blast to. Lets go make pumpkin pie!

Happy Halloween

Looking Glass Self

...Well??? Lifes been really good... Other than slight fam issues, I'm on th right track and flowing. Right now I'm doing what I can to meet as many people as possible involved with the local music scene, my results have been....moderately satisfactory. But patience is a something-r somethin, right?
However, taking time to enjoy simplicities in life are something that I still do relish very much...
While I was out the other day I stopped by loc sweet spot, Bills Wheels skate shop while some artists were laying down fresh tags outside: F%#%!@&! HOT!
I talked with the artists a little and they were from San Fran. They came down for the tag sesh, and the surf. Here's some more art from the bay that I found if your interested:http://www.flickr.com/groups/85678547@N00/pool/
.................So not having a car can be a huge drag, however the positives are always there if your looking. Biking and skating have been great to stay fit and healthy. Its also a great way to really soak up the sun, enjoy the weather, and to save doe! -So a few days ago as I biked home from work, the Cave-In on my ipod inspired me to roll down to Twin Lakes beach for a chill dusk:

--Even thou SLC does have some dope sunsets with the lake and mountains, the ocean IS one hot mother..........

..Its always nice to not only reflect back and look at your own life but to look at your reflection in general sometimes and make sure you are who you want to be. If your not in control of your situation, who or what is? Empower yourself, and now. For life is a fleeting moment..
"Alone, all by myself
In fear of failure
Unable to see who I am
Who's my savior
And I don't know why
Why I've come here
To the place of condemnation
My existence remains unclear

But I have broken through
Through what enslaved me
Abolish your guilt wall
Realization allowed me to be free
And my self confidence
Has taught me virtues
Your power was my weakness
My weakness was your power"

I can see clearly now..

"Easy is the path to wisdom for those not blinded by themselves." I used to have an understanding that wisdom is gained when you start to realize how little you really know.. somewhere along my path I forgot that a little. But I think I'm remembering life's answers...
Leaving my comfort zone was a jump. Coming to Cali was a kick.

--But a sweet one!
Something inside of me understood that to continue to grow and gain the wisdom I want out of this life I need to leave my comfort zone yet again, this time a bit bigger. Ive come here searching for something... an amazing life surrounded by music. I had this back in SL, but I want it bigger. By the time I'm done with a musical engineering degree I will have befriended ten times the amount of bands, venue owners, and promoters that I did in a short couple yr period in SLC.
I feel amazing most of the time but very nostalgic. Maybe its the thought of my parents tearing up when I left or the lack of multiple friends and an amazing local music scene in SLC(which is ultra tight and has a great rep also) to go see.... no sweat, all in time.
For now, I do get a treat this weekend when SLCs 'I am the Ocean' rolls threw Santa Cruz.
--And I did leave SLC on a wicked note, throwing myself a big going away party and having one of the best local talents, 'LOOM' play a set. YEAH!
---As for now the peaceful, happiness out weighs anything else..

Another Day in Paradise

MAD!: Alright so these guys come waltzing into my work the other day in full medieval costumes (homemade)! Not sick medieval knight: ..But cornball medieval knight:(..Remember not Halloween): Well these two guys and their normal looking lady friend(Jerry Springer normal) come walking into our retail store with some serious attitude oozing from their breath. (If your going to walk around in public like that, please show some humility) So as one of my co-workers starts talking with the girl I approach the men (I say men, very generously mind you) "Hello there, how ya knights doing!?" "I'm a sage." Snaps the ugly one.. well they were both pretty ugly :(.. "And I'm a master Jouster" Says the other one, with a stone cold serious face, glaring right at me. "Joust master huh? Do you have your joust with you?" I joke. ".. Um, No." "Is it in the car!?" I cheerfully ask, wondering how serious these two goofs are. And with a blank, straight-forward no-nonsense look he replies: "No. No they did not have cars in medieval times." "Alright!" I say with a goofy grin, then asked "So.. what do you guys do?" -"Well I assist the Joust master" the little 'sage' pipes in. "And I.. I Challenge anyone who is foolish enough to....'' something something I had honestly stopped listening at this point. I'm sorry, I don't get paid enough to play these sort of sick ass games. "I was asking what you guys did for a living." I say. - "Oh, well we both work for Quest." :/

I encounter some lame people at my work sometimes. I work at a fine jewelry store, I guess you'd expect some vanity, and the occasionally density. But hey. Keeps shit fun
